This week, 348 students from the School of the Built Environment of the Hogeschool Rotterdam started to work in BriefBuilder for their assignment on the topic of construction briefing.
They were provided with a standard brief for a housing complex, captured in BriefBuilder. The assignment is to make that brief more ambitious on the topic of sustainability.
Amongst other things, this means formulating more stringent and bold requirements concerning the insulation of the facade, the quality of the glazing, the use of natural and circular materials, and the performance and energy use of the building’s heating system.
Later in the course, the students will develop design solutions, which they then have to check against the brief. Did they live up to the ambitions and requirements that they formulated earlier?
We are very happy to be able to support the students in this!
